It has a fun, creative but classy design. "SONIC" is spelled out in a blocky font, which is then filled in with 16-bit style pixel Green Hill Zone scenery. It's topped with a row of 'turning' rings, the logo & larger neo-classic jumping Sonic art. With the way he's positioned it suggests he's jumping right out of the scene.
